Delta Air Confirms First-Quarter Profit Projection

Delta Air Lines has reiterated its first-quarter profit forecast, citing strong demand for international travel. The surge in long-haul flight bookings is attributed to a robust dollar encouraging more Americans to consider overseas leisure trips. Additionally, airlines are benefiting from increased demand for premium services following the pandemic.

Delta anticipates its adjusted profit per share for the first quarter to be between 25 cents and 50 cents, slightly below analysts' average projection of 36 cents per share. Moreover, the company expects year-over-year total revenue growth for the quarter to be in the higher end of the previously provided guidance range of 3% to 6%.

Furthermore, Delta has maintained its profit per share forecast for 2024, expecting it to be in the range of $6 to $7.
